Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review daily noon reports from customer vessels and act as an additional layer of validation for ship data.

• Oversee intern training, ensuring adequate understanding of data validation processes and successful implementation of customer-specific data quality improvement measures.

• Liaise with senior team members regarding reporting discrepancies and ensure accurate and high-quality data.

• Identify key focus areas for each vessel (data quality and high-level performance measures) and help build improvement plans, with inputs and feedback from relevant stakeholders.

• Monitor monthly engine performance reports and provide detailed evaluations, highlighting areas that require improvement.

• Provide support to senior team members to identify, plan and implement performance improvement projects across customer vessels/fleets.

• Participate in internal weekly and monthly performance meetings, with an expectation to identify reporting and performance gaps, including suggestions for how to improve further.

• Liaise with product development and software engineering teams to suggest product enhancements or identify bugs that impact the customer experience.

• Support ad hoc internal/external analytical projects, to be defined by team leads.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Marine Engineer who has cleared MEO Class IV Exam and with a minimum sailing experience of 6 months as 4th Engineer.

• 1-year shore-based experience in Marine Industry, preferably in a performance-oriented role

• Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software, including strong working knowledge of MS Office

• Experience with onboard reporting and performance systems

• Well versed with the best on board reporting practices

• Strong communication skills, well-organized and excruciating attention to detail are a must

• Flexibility to work with a team outside of “standard” office hours is required
